This past Sunday, I took my roommate, Krystal to see the lights at temple square. It was her first time. Brian and his kids came too. It was pretty cold, but fun!

Christmas means Candy

Every year at Christmas time, my mom and my grandma get in the candy-making mode. Here are just a few pictures of what has been made:



There are Oreo Balls, Peanut brittle, toffee, caramel (both regular and licorice), marshmallow snowmen, cookies, and more.

Painted Pony

Here is my latest work of art. I took this photo back in October, I don't think the guy knew I was taking a picture of him... he he he. I decided to do a painterly effect, which made it look old fashioned. I kinda like it.

Okay, so what if I'm odd

So I started my 9 week program to help me build up to a 5k today. And I decided that I need some motivators. So, I looked online for pictures and this is what I came up with. I put my head on the runner so I could visualize myself. he he he

Thankful

Since it is Thanksgiving, I thought I would tell you what I am thankful for:

-The opportunity to go to school- I say I'm sick of it and I can't wait until it's over, but I really am thankful that I can go to school.



-Family and Friends- you are all so wonderful!




-The gospel- it's scary to think where I would be without it.


-ipods- they are so useful when working out, walking to class, driving long distances and falling asleep.



-good books- who'd a thunk I'd be a reader!



-xxx vitamin water- it's so very yummy!

-My car, Stanley- actually I'm grateful that my brother was so willing to trade me for it. It's a good little SUV and I enjoy all of it's quirks.

-photography- It amazes me how far it has come!

-My can't live withouts: Dark chocolate, valentina hot sauce, cilantro and lime juice.

-Things that make me laugh- people too.



This list could go on forever!!

A goal in sight

So, the other day I was inspired to do a 5k run.

I looked for something coming up and I discovered that the Salt Lake Marathon has a 5k. So, April 19th I along with whoever else wants to join me, will be running 3.2 miles!

I found a program online to help me gradually start running so I can work up to that. I'm really quite excited about this, I've always wanted to do it, but never thought I could. Well, now I want to do it and will! Hooray! Let me know if you want to join in and I'll email you the program. My other goal includes losing some poundage. So, with this new program and a sensible


I will be well on my way to much success! Yippeeeeeeeeeee!

We are the champions, my friends

Well, the most anticipated football game was played over the weekend. That's right, it's not the superbowl, it's the U of U vs. BYU game.

In this game, we get intense rivalry and great bragging rights. This year The U was undefeated and ranked at #7, BYU ranked at #14. All I'm going to say is that WE WON, WE WON, NEENER NEENER NEENER!
Ha ha. The final score was 48-Utah, and 24-BYU.

Time for a change

Well, around my apartments people started getting the "Let's dye my hair" bug, and I caught it. I went with dark brown, and it looks black. I like it though. It may take some getting use to, but it's all good. This is a bad picture of me, but you get the point.

I'm Satisfied

Well, the day finally arrived!! I went and saw Twilight tonight with Becca, Lauren, Sam, Mom, and Qyncee. And let me tell you, I was completely satisfied with the way it turned out!! I loved it!! In fact, I'm going to see it again on Monday with Becca, Hunter, and Gracee. Yea for matinee! I just can't wait for New Moon to come out!! I think that they have done a great job at keeping the story in line with the book. I just loved it, what can I say more?

My latest Photo Project

So, I'm really excited to show you this. It's a photo project that I've been working on for a few weeks. I've entitled it "Family Tree". At first glance, it looks like just a tree, but look closer and you will see the tree is actually hands, and that the tree is covered in family photos. Let me know what you think!

My 2 Year Plan

Well, I have my life pretty much figured out for the next 2 years. First off, I will continue my education at BYU-Idaho. Next Semester will be my last, and then I will graduate!! YIPEEEE!!

My next stop will be the great city of Salt Lake. There I will find a job and hopefully a photo internship and work work work until the end of July.



Then the end of July I'm off to Hawaii to live, work and play for at least a year. I'm really excited!! Hopefully I can find a good job, make some friends and find a good singles ward. Who knows, maybe I will take up surfing!

After that ... Who knows?!! (seriously, if you know, please let me in on the secret!)

He he yes, I think it's funny!

I don't know if you've every seen these, but they are so stinking hilarious (he he stinking) that I had to share them! I like to watch them when I need a good laugh.

Christmas Time in Rexburg

Since my roommates and I will only be here in Rexburg until the 12 of December, we, well Krystal and I, decided to decorate for Christmas a little early. I know, you're thinking, it's only November 8, but that's okay. So, I wanted to show you our mean decorating skills:

Quirks

My sister tagged me to do this quite a while ago, so I will do it now...
Here are 6 quirks about me. I know I did something like this a while back, so sorry if I repeat.

1. I sleep on the couch. Yes, I have a bed, and it's comfortable too... but I guess it goes back to my high school days when I would stay at other people's houses. I just feel comfy on the couch. My roommates make fun of me because I have a perfectly good bed, but the couch is my friend. And by couch I mean, couch, love seat, love sac... whatever.

2. I like to use words like poop, poopy, diarreah, tinkle, stinky, fart, farty, smelly, booger, bum, and so many others. Not as I want to offend you words, but as terms of endearment. So next time you hear the words "you are a smelly booger fart face" coming out of my mouth, it just translates into "I love you" ha ha

3. I like to make up songs, poems, and dances that are random. Like when I'm driving I'll sing songs about the things I see or the silly people who are driving. I'll make poems up about any random subject and try to make them rhyme. Some of you have been lucky enough (Teona and Becca) to experience my spur of the moment bust a move dancing. There are very few people who know that (dancing) side of me.

4. I'm a clutz. I have several scars on my hands, legs and elswhere all due to falling. Falling down the stairs, tripping over myself and falling out the door, tripping over my own feet, slipping on ice, tripping over big wooden boxes and landing with cake in my face, ... the list goes on. Let's just say that I have a talent for falling.

5. I love movies. I could watch them every day and be content. I also like making my own movies. When I was a freshman at Snow, we made our own music videos and short films... it was fun! I wish I knew where that tape was!

6. I can get very distracted very easily. This happens a lot when I need to be doing homework (like right now) I all of a sudden be very focused on the shape of my higlighter, or notice funny people, or fall asleep, or feel the need to take a drive, or talk to someone or just think about things. And when I think about things I may start off thinking about the shape of my highlighter and end up thinking about what it will be like when I am 70.

Over the weekend, I got to carve pumpkins with Brian, my mom and Brian's kids. It was fun and the kids came up with some fun pumpkin faces! I decided to do a tree... I guess I was feeling adventurous, or not... I think the faces turned out the best!
