Manoa Falls Hike

A couple of my friends and I went and hike Manoa Falls one morning. If you come to Hawaii and you want to do a hike... this is the one for you!! It was so beautiful! The whole time you hike you are in a rain forest and it's just so pretty!!

Us under a tree arch thingy... it was cool!

We finally made it there. The falls aren't that big in the summer time, but it was still pretty cool! Don't worry the wetness you see was not so much sweat as it was rain, because, it wouldn't be a rain forest with out it!

And of course, I took every opportunity for some Fine Art. This was a bridge that was all rusted and I thought it was pretty awesome.

Manana Falls Hike

For Memorial Day, our branch went and hiked Manana Falls. It was a pretty tough hike and a little disappointing when we got there and the falls were a little trickle. Apparently the best time of year to do that hike is in the winter. It was a lot of fun though!! Here are some picts:

The branch (well, some of us anyway)

John decided to swing over the disgusting pool of water... it was funny

During the hike, John weaved himself a basket hat it was pretty funny

Another one bites the dust

Well, as many of you know, I often times can be quite the klutz. I went running with Missy the other day and was just going along, doing well, when all of a sudden I tripped and biffed it good. It's taken almost 2 weeks to heal, but no worries, I'll be back up and running on Monday.

Surprise!!

So, I thought I would save a little bit of money and ship all my books over here via Media Mail... well, I finally got the package after 2 weeks and got a little surprise! Some of my things were missing and I got these delightful things instead:

Yes, that's right a wonderful waxy green candle with dried flowers all around it, a catalog and a Matthew Henry Bible, in Spanish. I got all this wonderful stuff in exchange for my favorite story book, The Paper Bag Princess, and my Spanish bible that I used on my mission. Boy, aren't I lucky?!
