A work in progress
The first assignment in my watercolor class was to paint a sunflower. I think it's finished... I might need to make a few touchups on it, but I thought I would show it to you:

Anything else?...
Well, we've been having a few problems here in our creaky old apartment... It started with a leaky faucet, that we've been trying to get fixed now for 9 months. We just got new managers and they are working hard to pick up the slack of the old managers...but my roommate, Holly decided to see if she could fix it herself. So she turned the water off under the sink... and it started to leak. So she turned it back on and the water didn't come out of the faucet.... but it kept leaking under the sink. So we put a bucket under there and changed it every once in a while. The next day, Holly was cleaning and flushed the toilet and it overflowed... that same day, the managers came over to look at our sink and they twisted the knobs and the leak got worse. They couldn't fix it right then because the hardware store was closed, so they just said to keep changing the bucket. Well, when I woke up this morning, I noticed the carpet by the sink was soaked... so I opened up the cabinet and the bucket had overflowed and everything under the sink was wet and it was pouring out onto the carpet. So I used all the towels I had and mopped up the water. We told the managers how bad it got, and they came and fixed it... well, we came home and the leak under the sink was all fixed! But... the leaking faucet is still leaky. So we're back to where we started! ha ha

Hopeful
Well, I have changed my "minor". Part of it is still Early Child development but now the other part is Spanish... what does this mean? This means that if I do well on my Spanish test, I can test out of up to 3 classes... which also means (drum roll please) I could graduate next semester!! Yipee!! I am hopeful that it will happen, but I need to do some talking to my counselor and take the Spanish test... cross your fingers for me!!!!

My Scrapbook
Well, I've done a few more pages, so I decided to make a scrapbook blog. You can get there by going to www.nataliehorrocksscrapbook.blogspot.com or click on My Scrapbook on the links under family or my favorite websites.
Let me know what you think!

Gone Digital
Well, I have decided to start doing digital scrapbooking. The way I see it, it will save me a ton of money! In fact, I was able to find many many downloadable free items online. So I downloaded as many as I could, and let me tell you, if I were to buy the stuff I have in a scrapbook store it would cost me hundreds of dollars! This morning I did my first page, and I'm pretty proud of it. It's of my nephew, Deegan. He's such a cutie!
So, I may create a scrapbook blog to post these on, once I get enough... I'll keep ya updated.

Back to school
Well, I made it back to school. So far things have been pretty good. I'm taking 15 credits with enough art classes to keep me busy. My roommates are awesome. I'm still rooming with Krystal, and now we have Holly and Tenika. It's going to be a fun semester with them!
I'm in a different ward now, pretty much a bunch of 18 year olds and then us. I got a calling as the Gospel Doctrine teacher, and I'm really excited about that!
For all those who want to know, here are the classes that I am taking this semester:
Digital Photography
Watercolor
Typography
Book of Mormon
Spanish
Art Seminar
It will keep me pretty busy, and I'm glad. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that dating at BYU-Idaho, when you are my age is pretty much not going to happen. So I have decided to focus my time and energy towards school and doing well.
Not much else is happening. So, I'll catch ya later.

You know you're dreaming when...
Last night I had the weirdest dreams!! The first that I can kind of reacall, I was with some friends and they were doing something that I found to be hilarious, and I was holding my breath so that they wouldn't see me laughing... well I woke up out of breath and laughing... it was the strangest thing! Then I drifted back to sleep and had a dream that I was fishing off of a bridge in a very fast moving deep river and I cast my first cast and my pole started to go into the water.. at first I thought it was because of the current but as I pulled harder on my pole, I realized that this was a fish... and a big one at that!! I struggled for a while until I finally pulled it up onto the bridge... this fish was somewhere between 5 and 6 feet long!! A trout of course...
and then all of the sudden the fish turned into a man but he was still partly fish... It was odd!!
So, I just thought I would share the oddness of my imagination with all of you! ha ha
