Boredom Brings out the Best in Me

So as many of you know, I love to do random things which some might say are immature or crazy... I call it good, cheap entertainment. My friend, Robert had mentioned on Facebook that he needed a new hobby, so I suggested getting tape and a camera and taping your face in weird positions. So, after I suggested it, I got to thinking that I haven't done it in a while, so since I drank a bunch of Dr. Pepper (or Spicy Dr. Juice as Stacey's kids call it) and Mt. Dew I thought I would use these wide awake late night hours and put them to good use.

I had some friends over for video games and Pizza. We played Wii sports for a little bit and then we broke out the Singstar. Oh I love this game! Kareoke is such a great invention and it's okay if your singing isn't pretty, because it is Kareoke. Here are some picts and video of the Partay:

Snorkeling at Hanauma

I got an underwater camera for Christmas from my wonderful Mother and today, I tried it out. Me, Missy, Madeline, Emi and Emerson all went to Hanauma Bay and went Snorkeling. We didn't see any turtles this time, but we did see some massive fish. It was a lot of fun! Here are some underwater pictures for your enjoyment:

The PCC (Polynesean Cultural Center)

Our Branch went to the PCC on an awesome deal. We had the buffet, then we went to the night show. It was pretty awesome. Here are some pictures from the blessed event:

Some Adventuring around Oahu

Today I woke up bright and early at the crack of 4:30 am and went with some of my friends to go adventure around Oahu on a photo extravaganza.
We drove out to the east side of the island and watched the sunrise and took pictures.....



It was oh so pretty!!

Emerson found this hat that probably blew off of some lice infested head. Just kidding, well he really did find it, but I'm not so sure about the lice part....

After that we went into Honolulu and went to eat at the Original Pancake House. We saw this sign outside of the elevator and it made me laugh...


Then we were off to the Pali Lookout. They had a sign warning about bees... I've never seen a bee warning sign before, but after being there I decided it should have read "Caution Mosquitoes that like to suck you dry of all of your blood, run for you life!!"



Emerson found these sunglasses, it was better than a yard sale kind of day, everything was free!

So, lately I've been really into old bridges, and when I find one that is covered in rust and moss, I get really excited. I don't know what it is, I just like em.

We then headed to the Valley of the Temples. There is a Buddhist temple there and it had some pretty cool stuff... and another bridge....


an old rusted and weathered chair... you gotta love it!!


They have this area with a bunch of bamboo and people write their names on it and sometimes profanities, but I managed to find one with my name on it, so I took a picture.


There is also a gong that people can gong at, and it is said that anyone who gongs it will have happiness and the blessings of Buddha. I gonged it twice, so double Buddha for me!
