Snowmobiling

My roommates and I went snowmobiling with the boys. It was a lot of fun! Tyler's grandparents own snowmobiles and they have a nice field out in back.

We also had a few snowball fights.

All was going well until... Krystal and Starr ran right into the ditch. Starr managed to walk away without any bumps or bruises, but Krystal on the other hand, recieved many bruises. Her body flew forward, bending the steering column and breaking the winshield

and her knee went through the side panel...

it wasn't pretty. Luckily Tyler and Jared were able to pull it out of the ditch and get it running again.

After our adventures, Tyler's cute grandma made us chili and hot chocolate... it was great day!

Sunday Night Fun

So, we as roommates decided on a new thing to meet new people. We are making dinner every Sunday and inviting a new apartment over... Today, we invited the boys of Somerset 214.
I made Chicken Enchiladas, and Starr made the rice and Salad. They boys brought over cookies, chips and salsa.
After dinner we played the wii, listened to music, watched home star runner, and hung out. Here are some pictures:

SNOWMAN

SNOWMAN

SNOW FALLS ON THE STREET
WHEN I SEE IT I I WANT TO TAP MY FEET
I WANT TO SING, I WANT DO DANCE
I WANT TO FROLIC, PLAY AND PRANCE

FOR WHEN IT SNOWS, IT'S A SPECIAL TREAT
FOR THERE IS SOMETHING THAT CAN'T BE BEAT
I CAN TAKE A LITTLE SNOW BALL
AND ROLL IT UP REALLY TALL
I CAN MAKE TWO OR THREE
PUT THEM TOGEHTER AND YOU WILL SEE
A SNOWMAN FORMS WITH JUST THREE SNOW LUMPS
A CARROT NOSE, STICK ARMS AND TWO COAL EYE CLUMPS

I'LL PUT A HAT UPON HIS HEAD SO WHITE
AND WRAP A SCARF AROUND HIS NECK SO TIGHT
I'LL THEN SING AND DANCE ALONG WITH HIM
PERHAPS I'LL EVEN CALL HIM TIM

PLAYING IN THE SNOW, WE WILL HAVE MUCH FUN
UNTIL THE DREADFUL DAY WHEN HE SEES THE SUN
THEN HE WILL MELT INTO THE GRASS
A BIG PUDDLE OF WATERY MASS

I WILL MISS HIM AND PERHAPS SHED A TEAR
BUT THEN I'LL REMEMBER THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!
THEN I WILL MAKE ME A BRAND NEW BUD
WHO WILL SING AND DANCE AND PLAY IN THE MUD

HOW VERY EXCITING THE FALLING SNOW LOOKS
WHEN THERE IS SNOW OUTSIDE, WHO NEEDS BOOKS?
SO THIS WINTER WHEN YOUR FEELING SAD
GO OUTSIDE, SNOWMEN WILL MAKE YOU GLAD!

Tis the Season to be Sick

As I sit here at my desk coughing, sniffling and trying to breathe out of one nostril, I came up with this little poem:

Winter time has finally come
the trees no longer make their leafy hum
The snow falls to coat the world in white
people are bundled up really tight
Decorations are hung and lights do glow
but there is something else you should know
While some are sing of Santa and mangers
I'm singing of the winter dangers
Because 'tis the season to be sick
no, this is not a trick
because coughing and sneezing are on their way
sniffling and sore throats will ruin your day
vitamin C, cough drops and tissues are your friends
you'll be glad when it all finally ends
and you can breathe not only out of one nostril, but two
and smell again the sweet Christmas stew
So remember and beware of the wintery cold
that preys on the young, and the very old
Because 'tis the season to be sick
Happy Winter from a groovy Chick!
