To be a kid again

Madeline loves the water... she gets so squealy and happy whenever she gets a chance to play in it. It amazes me how such little things can entertain a child and how easily we adults are entertained by watching them. Here are some picts from an evening of entertainment:

Sea Life Park

We went to Sea Life Park. It was really fun. I never went to Sea World in California, but I heard this is similar.
We go to see Sea Lions...
Penguins...

Dolphins...

and even a Whalphin! What is a walpin you might ask? Well, this is the only known walphin in the world. It is half dolphin and half whale! Who would have known that a whale and a dolphin could have babies?! Anywho, they said that it was born at Sea Life Park and was a HUGE surprise to everyone... I thought it was really cool!!

Turtle Beach

My good friend, Holly and I went to the North Shore and saw the sea turtles. We got there just before sunset and the sea was beautiful, as usual.
We also did some exploring on the rocks and found hundreds of crabs crawlilng all over them.

The turtles come out here to sun bathe and then towards dark they swim back out to sea.

Once I get there I will be seeing stuff like this

every day! :) I'm really excited to spend some time with my sis and her hubby and my cute little niece! Thanks for letting me come stay with you guys!! As repayment, i will be your live-in photographer.
Now, I just need to find a job and make some friends. I am pretty lucky that my good buddy Holly (not Buddy Holly, just my buddy named Holly) is there going to school, so I'll at least have one friend.
I'm really excited to go on this adventure... not quite sure what the future has in store for me but I'm excited to find out!

I finally GRADUATED!!

Well, I did it! I finally graduated, and although most people going to school that are my age are working on their doctorate degree, I am very proud to say I finally got my 4 year degree!! It's been a long journey to get here, but I learned a lot on the way and I did finally get here!! I now have a Bachelor of Science in Integrated studio Art with an emphasis in photography. I had a cluster minor in Spanish and Child Development. I loved my time at BYU-I (and no, I did not convert to a Y fan!) and I made a lot of wonderful friends. Here are a few pictures from the graduation festivities:

Here I go...

Well, I had quite the weekend! I went home to Salt Lake for the weekend to watch conference and see the fam and some friends. I was thinking about going to Ecuador in July to work at an orphanage for 10 weeks, so I thought I would take the weekend to pray about it and get an answer. Well, I got my answer and it just wasn't feeling like the thing to do. So then I was thinking about where I was going to work until I left for Hawaii in July. I was talking to Teona and Becca about it and they suggested that I just go to Hawaii now. It made sense so I thought I would pray about it. I did and the answer was immediate, YES! So around midnight Friday night I got online and looked up plane tickets. Before, the cheapest i could find for a one-way ticket was around $700. (yikes) Well, I looked and put in a random date that popped into my head (gee I wonder where that came from) and I found tickets for $200!! So I talked to my sister to see if it would be alright and bought my tickets. :)
Then yesterday, when I was at conference I started feeling like I made a huge mistake... started getting nervous and wondered what did I do?! So I said a little prayer and asked for a confirmation that I did the right thing. The very next talk was Elder Snow's talk on change. I don't know why I supposed to go now, but I do know that I am supposed to go! So... I leave for Hawaii April 27th.

Cowboys n' Indians

Kyndra & I celebrated our graduation by having a party. The theme was Cowboys n' Indians!! We all dressed up, because it gave us a good excuse to do so. We played games, roped a cow, had a few wars, ate food and had a yehawin' good time! I was an indian and my indian name was Winds of Death, Kiley's was Falls Downstairs. It was a lot of fun!
