Day One: FAILURE
So, I haven't started yet. I decided I would start on Friday morning, because I should have all the pictures I need to edit done and the projects with deadlines done and I don't work that day, so that is my new reformated goal. Running on Friday.

I'm going to give it another go...
So, I decided that I'm going to give running another go. I bought some new shoes so that it doesn't hurt my knees, I've got my ipod all pumped up and ready, and I'm feeling newly motivated to run. So I'm going to give it another go. I often get unmotivated when trying to run, but hopefully this time I'll stick it out. After all, it's not going to kill me. The last time I decided to start running, I ended up tripping over a teeny crack in the sidewalk and getting some major road rash, or sidewalk rash. This time, I'm going to concentrate really hard at not falling on my face. It's been a while since I've clumsily fallen and my scars are pretty much fading, so maybe I am getting a little less clumsy. I know, I probably just jinxed myself, but I'll give you an update tomorrow on how my first "let's try this again" "I'm not clumsy" run goes. Wish me luck!

My Thanksgiving Vacation
For those who don't know, I got to go home to Utah for 2 1/2 weeks. It was soooo good to see everyone!! When I got off the plane, and stepped outside I thought I would die of coldness. It was freezing!! I had been saying how excited I was about going home to some cool air, but that soon ended when I was violently reminded what that felt like. I like warm air. It's nice.
When I got out of the airport I went straight to get my hair done. It had been a while and it really needed some TLC. So I got it cut, and put some highlights and low lights in it. It feels so much better now!!
On Saturday, I went with my friends, Becca, Lauren, Amanda, and my fam Samantha, Qyncee, Kyndra and 2 others that I forgot their names, anyways, we went and saw New Moon. I thought it was pretty good. And I was happy that they stuck to the book pretty well.
I actually spent quite a bit of time with Becca and Teona. I just love those girls!! I miss having them around.

On Sunday, I went to church and my mom spoke. She never ceases to amaze me. She spoke on service in the church. She is such a wonderful example of that. I'm so blessed to have such an amazingly wonderful mother!! After church we went out to visit Mark and his family and Brian and his family. My nieces and nephews have grown up so much in the last 8 months, it's crazy!! They both looked really happy, which makes me happy. I love my brothers!

So I just read what I wrote and it sounds more like an itinerary than a hey look at my cool vacation, so I'm just going to point out the highlights of the vacation from here on out.
Here are some things that I did:
Went to Wheeler Farm, several times to take pictures and walk around it and enjoy a little bit of the country. I love that place!! It's just a great place to get some awesome picture taking in and some fun walking adventures. If you haven't walked around the walking path and taken the little side trails, I highly recommend it!
I went out by the Great Salt Lake and watched the sunset with a friend. I miss those sunsets. They are just so incredibley awesome!! It amazes me how people can look at something that beautiful and think to themselves that God doesn't exist. I think it's living proof among so many other things that he does live!! And boy am I grateful that he blesses us with such beauty. While I was there, a bunch of birds were flying by and one pooped on my head. I ws told that a bird pooping on you is good luck. I don't know how that constitutes as "good luck" it more seems like that's just my luck. Leave it to me to get pooped on, but I could use some good luck, so thank you birdies, thank you...

I also went to Thai Pan Trading. oh how I love that store!! It's a good thing that my suitcase prohibited me from buying too much there, because otherwise I think I could have blown my whole paycheck there. I can't wait to someday own my own place just so that I can decorate it!!
Thanksgiving was quite the treat!! We made, as is normal in my family, 95 pounds of turkey, 30 pounds of potatoes, 7 dozen eggs, lots of saldas, stuffing, and baked beans. Along with about 20 pies. It was incredible. I was so excited to eat and eat and eat until I was so huge that they would have to roll me out the door., but when it came time I didn't really have much of an appetite, which was explained a few hours later when I started puking my guts out. My sister, Missy had been throwing up that morning and missed all of Thanksgiving, but we attributed it to being pregnant and morning sickness. Oh boy were we wrong!! I don't think it was the flu, but whatever it was it hit hard and quick!! I know this isn't very pleasant to read, so feel free to skip this part. I started puking around 8 pm and puked every hour until around 5 am. After that I was good but I didn't get may appetite back for a few days. By the next day this sickness had begun eruppting throughout the entire family. My grandpa got it, then my cousin Wendy, then my cousins Megan, Austin, Rusty and my nieces Baylee and Gracee and then my nephew Deegan and then my sis-in-law, Cassi... it seemed that we had an epidemic on our hands!! It was definitely one of those Thanksgivings to remember!! ha ha

On the bright side, because of Missy sickness and her not feeling too well by Saturday, I got her ticket to the Utah vs. BYU game!! (I know, that's sick that I'm happy that my sister wasn't feeling well, so so wrong of me... but I couldn't help but be wrongfully happy to see the most anticipated game of the year. ) I went with Melinda and Brady Johnson, who were die hard BYU fans! In fact, where we were sitting, I was the only Utah fan. I cheered and yelled at the top of my lungs for my Utes!! It was a really good game and I was sad about the outcome, but happy for BYU. The conference did well and so I had to be happy. Next year we will have the upper hand, with Max Hall graduating, and our quarterback excelling quite rapidly. It was just a great time!! GO UTES!

A few days later, I got a cold. Probably from being out in the freezing tundra called Utah for so long, but it was well worth it!! I'll take a cold in exchange for a good football game anytime. :)
I also got to go to the temple. all I can say is AAAAHHHHHH!! I love the temple, and I really miss having one, in operation that is so close. In Rexburg it was only a short 5 minute walk from my apartment.. I miss that!! I'm going to save my pennies so that I can go to the Big Island next month to go to the Kona temple. It's just a relaxing, feel good, charge your batteries kind of place and I miss it!!
I also went to an Ugly sweater party with my friend, Robert. D.I is a really good place to find ugly sweaters! I rocked out in a Cosby type sweater and Robert found one that reminds me of Charlie brown, I don't know why, it just does. Anyway, I had been craving a good themed party and it hit the spot. Here's a picture of the ugliness:

Other stuff I did was a lot of Christmas shopping, visiting, ooh and I went to temple square to see the lights with Scott and Cassi and their kids, and Missy and Madeline, and Sam and my mom. It was a lot of fun. We rode the tracks down, which is something I recommend. We stopped and got pizza at Peir 49 and then looked at the lights, which were great as usual.

I got to spend some time with my grandparents too, whom I absolutely adore!! I just love them to pieces!! They are such great examples to me and are always doing something to make me laugh. I missed them so much and it was so good to see them. :)
I also got to see my friend, Stacey and her little family. She is such a good mom. She has the cutest little kids and they are just a cute little family. She has been my best friend since forever, seriously, forever. It was so good to see her, I wish I could have spent more time with them. Her kids crack me up. :)
Well, that pretty much wraps up my vacation. It was long, but full of fun, family and friends! I do have to say that I was happy to get back to warm Hawaii. I think I needed a break from it to realize just how much I really do love. it.
And that is all for now. :)

Madeline and Abbey
Later that afternoon, I met up with a friend and we attempted to drive to Casper, Wyoming to pick up a truck from his brother. But we only got to Little America and had to turn around because of the snow. We ended up waiting on the freeway for about an hour because of an accident, it was quite the adventure! So I just read what I wrote and it sounds more like an itinerary than a hey look at my cool vacation, so I'm just going to point out the highlights of the vacation from here on out.

The "Wild Car"
So, I'll blog about my vacation little by little, but I thought that I would start with this little treat. I decided to rent a car for one weekend. I got online and found a really good price. $14 a day, for a compact car. I figured, that is all I need, it's perfect!! But then I saw the "Wild Car" for only $13 a day! It was a whole dollar cheaper!! And, since I like a good deal, I decided to go for this option. The so called "Wild Car" is a car that the rental place picks for you when you get there. I figured this could be a lot of fun! I imagined myself in a jeep or a sports car or something pretty snazzy. Well, a girl can dream. So I got there and they handed me the keys and I went to find my cool SUV and I was passing all the stalls heading toward stall #35, I passed an expedition, a jeep, a 4- runner, and I thought JACKPOT!! Then there, in stall #34, was a nice big SUV and I thought ooh I think I got an SUV!! WAHOO!! But my WAHOO soon turned into laughter when behind the nice SUV in stall #34, there it was. In stall #35 a toyota SIENNA!! Yes, a minivan!! I thought I would die with laughter.

This minivan was complete with 3 rows of seating, automatic sliding doors and plenty of space for all of the soccer balls. It was an adventurous weekend!! Definitely a great vehicle to pick up guys. :) ha ha

Chinook

I also posted this on my photo by natalie website, but I'm not sure how many people look at it, so I thought I'd put it here too to get some feed back.
My sister is planning on decorating the new baby's room in Chinooks. So she asked me to do some stuff for it. I was playing around this morning and came up with this. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but I thought I would get your input on it.
Before and After
This morning I woke up early and thought I would go running, but it was raining, so I decided to conduct another photoshop experiment, but this time on myself. I took the first picture with my camera phone, and then the second on is the "after" in photoshop.

Here is what I did: Brightened my eyes, smoothed my skin, erased baggy eyes, whitened teeth and brightened the whole photo. Pretty amazing huh! Well, then I got to thinking, I wonder if there are before and after photoshop pictures of celebrities. And this is what I found: (click to enlarge)

I was amazed at what photoshop can do. I love photoshop!! But isn't it funny how these "after" images that make these people look like gods are what the world has set as beautiful? It's impossible to look this way naturally, yet so many girls are pressured into looking thin and beautiful like the people they see in magazines, people who don't really exist because a computer made them. Here are a few videos of what they can do with photoshop... double chin, presto no more, eyes need to be bigger, you got it! Thighs a little big? no problem here!

Wonder how Madonna keeps her youthful skin? Well, the answer is PHOTOSHOP!

Halloween Party
We had a Halloween party at my house. Only a few people dressed up, and I only managed to get photos of this one. It was the best one, but I don't know why I didn't get everyone... oh well.

Isaiah the Robot. He came and spit out corn nuts out of his front. It was really funny.

We started off eating, and talking and Jesse read some scary stories to us. Then we bobbed for apples. It was quite enjoyable and the apples were perfect. (I'm a picky apple eater.)
