Snorkeling at Waimea Bay

We went to Waimea bay and did some snorkeling there. It was a lot of fun!
It started out with Zach trying to out build the sand castle that we did a few days ago...

He didn't plan it very well, because the waves kept coming up and washing it away... ha ha

Then we went snorkeling...

Whitnee and I
This is me... there is something big and creepy looking behind me, I don't know what it is, but I'd like to... your guess is as good as mine!

After snorkeling was done, we decided to do some random underwater pictures... it made me really want to buy an underwater camera!

Sand Castle

Yesterday, we went to Iraquois Point and hung out on the beach. When we got there, it was super windy and sort of cold, so we decided to build us a sand castle. We found a tree stump and built it on top of that so it wouldn't wash away.

We started with a mound of sand and slowly carved our way to a pretty cool castle:

Tara worked on building the tunnel

John worked on the bridge and the stone staircase leading to the top

and I worked on the garden courtyard

It was fun!

4th of July

ON the 4th of July we (Me, Holly, John, Gavin, Jonathan, and Jess) went hiking up to Maunawili Falls. The hike was beautiful!! It was covered in trees and greenery! Then we got to the falls and went swimming, and jumped off the waterfall...it was a fun-filled time!
here are a few picts from that:

(i'll post more picts when I get them from people)

After the hike we came back here and Missy made us some really good food. The 4th of July just isn't the same with out a bbq.

After eating we played some phase 10, John and I won, of course due to our super tricky tactics. ha ha

After games we went to the beach at Iraquois Point and watched the fireworks. It was so pretty!! And some of the boys had a contest to see who could climb the highest up a palm tree...

After fireworks we walked around for about 30 minutes trying to figure out where John parked his truck... we finally found it right where we left it! (who would have guessed!)

We then came back to my house and played some sing star and games and everyone met Whitnee!

It was a fun 4th of July!

Peep Holes

Have you ever wondered what you look like when someone looks through a peep hole on their door? Well, here is my interpretation of that:

Knock Knock....

It's me, I sure hope they are home

Heloooo?

hmm, maybe they aren't home...

should I keep waiting?

And that's how it goes... now you know looking at people out peep holes is funny, and that's why they take so long to answer the door, because they are laughing their heads off at your ridiculously enlarged head!! ha ha

A change

After an almost 2 year absence, I decided to put highlights in my hair again. Since I don't have money, I bought one of those do it yourself ones from Walmart and made Melissa do it. Things were going well, and then I started to freak out a bit when my hair started to look more orange than blonde, but it turned out pretty good. It's a lot lighter than it was, but I think once I get used to it, I'll like it. Here are some before and after shots:
