Adventures at China Man's Hat

A few weeks ago, Me, John, Jess and Holly rented Kayaks and went Kayaking out to China Man's Hat.

I'm not quite sure what Jess is doing in this picture, but it's kinda funny.

Once we got to the island, we went snorkeling around it. We saw a lot of coral and a few fish... not the greatest place for snorkeling. We did that until Jess and Holly both got stung by Jellyfish and we decided that it was time to get out of the water.


This is the victory picture after we climbed to the top of the island. It took us a little longer because we followed a few false trails, but we made it and the view was really cool!!

Trip to the North Shore

We took my mom to the Dole Plantation for some pineapple ice cream. It was really good!!



I had a pineapple float. The take pineapple ice cream and "float" it in pineapple juice! Missy and Madeline shared a pineapple cone and my mom had pineapple ice cream smothered in pineapples...



After the dole plantation, we went up to the Laie visitor's center

On our way back home we stopped at one of the many shrimp shacks on the North shore and had us some garlic shrimp... yummy!!

Bellows AFB Campout

A few weekends ago, we went camping at Bellow AFB. Missy, Jimmy, Madeline and my Mom went out on Thursday night, so I met up with them on Friday morning. We played on the beach, and went boogie boarding...which is really fun!

That weekend was also my branch campout at Bellows, so I met up with my branch that night. We had some fun times!!

This is us playing Indian Poker... You stick the card on your forehead, without looking at your own card and try to bet according to other people's cards if you have the highest card... I really enjoyed it!
Obviously, I lost this round.


This is me introducing the good people of Hawaii to roasted Starbursts. I thik they really enjoyed them!


This is when John tried to trick me into eating a roasted starburst with the wrapper still on it... he couldn't fool me though!


We also played a bunch of relay games and on one of the team games, we had to go and catch 5 sand crabs. It was a lot of fun!! John broke out his shovel and we ended up catching some really big ones. I don't seem to have a picture of the crabs, I"ll have to ask around. But here is a picture of John showing his hand because he got pinched by one of them... he he he


The next morning we did some more boogie boarding and then packed up and left... it was a really fun weekend!!

Hanauma Bay Take 1

My mom has a fear of water, but she has greatly improved in the last few years, so I took her out to Hanauma Bay to give snorkeling a try...




She wasn't quite ready, so I occupied myself by taking pictures, which I love to do...





She decided not to go and to try again another day, so I took a quick dip in and saw some fishies..

It was a fun day!

Missy turned 30 so we had a party!

She got a carpet cleaner for her birthday...you never really know how dirty your carpet is until you clean it and see the difference... Happy Birthday Sis!

Readers Theatre

My branch did a reader's theatre on the life of Joseph Smith. I was Emma... it was really neat, except when I had to sing a solo... ha ha

Jimmy has a new hobby of spear fishing. Sometimes he has Missy wait on the pier so he can go alone and somebody can still watch out for him. They took my mom one day and she came back with some of these picts:
